Ernie Els is up from 40th to 15th in the world after his amazing Open Championship win at Royal Lytham - and Tiger Woods is now second.

Els won by a stroke after he birdied the last hole and Australian Adam Scott bogeyed the last four.

Woods was in a tie for third with fellow American Brandt Snedeker and now has only England's Luke Donald ahead of him eight months after slumping from first to 58th.
