AMERICAN Ryder Cup star Bubba Watson has issued public and private apologies for his graceless behaviour while missing the cut at the French Open.
He finally posted a message on Twitter to his 153,000 followers, and he also emailed an apology to French Championship director Giles Jourdan. But European Tour officials have discussed writing to the world No12 about his behaviour, which included refusing to share a courtesy car with Indian Masters winner SSP Chowrasia. David Probyn, the Tour’s senior official in Versailles, said: “Writing a letter has been talked about but nothing has been decided.”
On Twitter, Watson, who had earlier said he would not play in Europe again, wrote: “If I offended anyone, I apologise. It definitely wasn’t my intention. I played bad, not the fans’ or the tournament’s fault, I hit the shots. Besides playing bad, I had a great time. “Hope to learn how to deal with new and different challenges.
