Nowadays, modern parents desire for ultra-smart and super talented kids. Interestingly, parents in China are sending their young bundle of joys to golf classes and etiquette school for future CEOs – because they believe having the right EQ outflanks IQ in their babies’ future success.

In a nation where citizens’ poor social habits have drawn flak from the government, more parents now believe that emotional quotient, or EQ, is more important than IQ to succeed in life.

Many toddlers in Guangzhou, one of China’s richest cities, are being trained in the finer arts of good manners, collaboration, leadership and how to influence others – from as young as the age of two.

Also, Golf pundits have always said that the game instils self-discipline, upright manners and an important set of values within. Last year, China’s schools totally adhered to this dictum by making Golf compulsory in schools.

Interestingly, the sport was earlier banned in China partially as the Communist leaders branded Golf as a game of the elite that endorses corruption and excess.
