January 16th 2017: Hands-on testing of the latest equipment and technology by golf’s best brands, an exclusive preview of accessories and training aids plus instructional workshops by top golf teachers will highlight the 15th PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day, on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at the 42-acre practice facility of the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge (OCN), in Winter Garden, Florida.

Thousands of PGA Professionals and invited golf industry professionals will preview the newest equipment, training aids and accessories from more than 100 top golf companies to create the world’s largest professional golf demo event. Throughout the day, golf teachers will be able to learn from some of the best in their field, when renowned PGA members and instructors David Leadbetter and 2011 PGA Teacher of the Year Mike Malaska present hands-on instructional workshops. Additionally, John Holmes, president of Atlas Turf, will conduct a workshop on turf playability, while GolfTEC will present a workshop on instruction technology.

Inventors of new golf training and teaching aids, accessories and equipment will be able to gauge the interest of more than 40,000 attending PGA Professionals and golf industry leaders from around the world at the Inventor’s Spotlight January 25-27 2017 during the PGA Merchandise Show.

Organized in partnership with the United Inventors Association (UIA), the Inventor’s Spotlight on the PGA Show floor showcases new golf and golf lifestyle-related products developed by independent inventors. In addition to the business networking opportunity provided by the PGA Show, Inventors Spotlight exhibitors also participate in the UIA Awards Program, where their products are reviewed and top inventions are awarded with one of three awards – Most Innovative Concept, Best Marketing, and the Pinnacle (Best in Show) – on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. Judging will be conducted by UIA experts, who will be in attendance throughout the PGA Show to answer questions associated with taking an idea to the development, patenting, production and product distribution stage.

“The Inventor’s Spotlight has become a proven launching pad for new golf inventions to be seen by industry influencers and product development experts,” said PGA Merchandise Show Event Director Marc Simon. “In working with the United Inventors Association, we are pleased to provide a platform for inventors to introduce and demonstrate their golf-related innovations, receive feedback from leaders in the golf industry, and, potentially, secure new points of retail distribution."

The Golf Fitness, Wellness & Instruction area (formerly the FIT to WIN Pavilion) has been expanded and enhanced for the 2017 PGA Merchandise Show. More than 75 golf fitness, sports performance and instruction companies will exhibit in the expanded area to showcase the newest products and services that are related to golf and the resort fitness industry. The Club Spa & Fitness Association now joins TPI as presenting sponsors of the area, offering new insights to attendees and exhibitors. Accordingly, a full calendar of complimentary presentations and seminars, programmed by TPI, are scheduled. In addition, the Atwood Group will offer new complimentary consultative appointments to help PGA Professionals better integrate fitness at their golf clubs, resorts and destinations.

The PGA Show Golf Fitness, Wellness and Instruction area, located in the PGA Show Equipment Hall, is one of several interactive PGA Show Floor destinations among the exciting exhibits offered by more than 1,000 top golf companies and brands at the 64th PGA Merchandise Show in the Orange County Convention Center.

Top golf destinations, travel and tour services, and travel products will be featured in the 2017 PGA Merchandise Show Golf Travel Pavilion, Jan. 25-27, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

The PGA Show Golf Travel Pavilion, located on the PGA Show floor in the #3200-#3600 aisles, features popular golf destinations, including Ireland, Scotland, France, Thailand, South Africa and the Dominican Republic, among others. Additionally, PGA Professionals will have access to golf travel services from companies such as Premier Golf, Haversham & Baker, Rovos Rail, Traveling the Fairways and more. Hundreds of golf travel products can be found in the PGA Show Travel Pavilion and throughout exhibits from more than 1,000 participating companies and brands on the PGA Show floor.

“PGA Professionals provide expert insight and planning for golf travel around the world,” said PGA Merchandise Show Event Director Marc Simon. “The PGA Show Golf Travel Pavilion provides convenient access to a multitude of top destinations, products and services that will provide an exciting and rich golf experience at premier golf destinations.”

The Tourism Ireland and VisitScotland exhibits have long been mainstays of the PGA Show Golf Travel Pavilion and feature multiple golf destinations, tourism attractions and travel services.

“We have exhibited in the PGA Show Travel Pavilion for many years and regularly support the attendance of a wide range of golf tourism businesses in Scotland, including golf resorts, accommodation providers and tour operators,” said Alan Grant, Senior Golf Manager for Visit Scotland. “They all see it as a valuable way of maintaining existing relationships with their key contacts from around the world, but also an excellent opportunity to promote the benefits of Scotland, the Home of Golf, to new audiences each year at the PGA Show.”
