Reflecting on what has been a remarkable year for her, Diksha sees the Arjuna Award as an affirmation of her belonging to the top echelons of her sport. Despite the disappointment of not being chosen for the Asian Games in Hangzhou, she finds solace in this latest accolade. Diksha shared, "It still hurts I was not picked for the Asian Games. After that, I have done well on the tour. To get recognition from the Indian government is a great honour."

While many sports seasons have concluded, Diksha continues to actively participate in her golf pursuits. Anticipating the award ceremony next month where she will receive the honor from President Draupadi Murmu, Diksha expressed eagerness, stating, "It will be very exciting to receive the award from the President of India."

Acknowledging the crucial role her father, Col Narinder Dagar, played in supporting her from the start of her career, Diksha extended her gratitude to the Indian Army. She emphasized how her Army background facilitated her entry into the sport, which can be financially demanding. "Coming from an Army background really helped. They enabled me to take up this sport, which is so expensive," she remarked.

Expressing gratitude to those who believed in her, including her family, the Indian Army, well-wishers, the Indian Golf Union, and her sponsor Hero Motorcorp, Diksha dedicated the award to those who supported her journey. In a nostalgic reflection on the significance of the award, she emphasized its importance for her and her family, viewing it as a celebration and recognition of the dedicated efforts invested. Looking ahead to 2024, Diksha sees the award as a source of motivation for crucial events, particularly emphasizing the significance of the Paris Olympics.

Colonel Dagar, Diksha's father, described the news of the award as "unbelievable" and expressed pride in the recognition his daughter received. He acknowledged the challenges they faced in the journey but highlighted that the award is a true testament to Diksha's tireless efforts.
