From Dronacharya to Haryana's champions, the sporting spirit takes a new turn as GRPL arrives in Gurugram.
Haryana has always had a deep connection with competitive sport. From the akharas to the Olympic podium, the state has produced athletes who have carried India's flag to the world. Now, that competitive spirit is entering a new arena as GRPL - The Royal Trial of India, arrives in Gurugram on 16th October at Classic Golf and Country Club.
But this is not another conventional golf tournament.
GRPL is bringing a six-team, city-based franchise golf league to Gurugram, creating a sporting experience built around teams, rivalries, city pride and the thrill of competition. With four legs still remaining in Season 1, the second half of the league is set to begin, and Gurugram will be one of its most important chapters.
The story of GRPL in Gurugram begins much further back than the golf course.
Legend says Guru Dronacharya trained the Kauravas and Pandavas in Gurugram, teaching them discipline, precision, focus and mastery. Centuries later, those values continue to define Haryana's sporting culture.
From Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia to Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra, Haryana's sporting legacy has been built on discipline, grit and the hunger to win.
GRPL now brings that spirit to golf. From the akhara to the fairway. From the podium to the green.
And representing Haryana in The Royal Trial of India are the Gurugram Titans.

Gurugram Titans carry the city's pride into the second half of GRPL Season 1.
Led by owners Rajiv Chauhan, Yuv Bansal, Sanjay Bansal and Atul Magan, Gurugram Titans carry the pride of the city into GRPL's six-team battle.
Leading the team on the course is captain Jahnavi Prakhya.
After three legs, the Titans currently sit sixth on the table. But with four legs remaining, nothing is decided yet. After a two-month break, all six teams return to the fight.
The rivalries restart. The pressure rises. And the second half of GRPL Season 1 begins. For the Titans, Gurugram presents an opportunity to change the story on home ground.
Because sometimes, the most dangerous team isn't the one sitting on top. It's the one that has nothing left to lose.
The Gurugram leg brings together all six GRPL franchises, each representing its city and competing for its place in the season's unfolding story.

Six franchises. One league. Every shot adds to the season-long battle.
This city-based format is what makes The Royal Trial of India different from a traditional golf tournament. Here, golfers aren't simply playing for an individual score. They are part of a team, a city and a larger season-long rivalry.
And you don't have to be a professional golfer to be part of it.
Individual golfers can also participate in the Gurugram leg.
Whether you're an experienced golfer looking for competitive action, an amateur ready to test your game, or simply someone who wants to experience GRPL first-hand, the Gurugram leg opens the door to become part of The Royal Trial of India.
GRPL is designed to take golf beyond the traditional tournament format and create an experience that connects golfers, fans, cities and the wider sporting audience.
The Gurugram leg brings that vision to one of India's most dynamic cities, where sport, business, lifestyle and entertainment naturally come together.
For golfers, it is a chance to compete. For fans, it is a chance to follow their city. For non-golfers, it is a chance to experience a new kind of sporting rivalry.
And for brands, partners and businesses, it is an opportunity to be part of a premium sports property that is building its identity across cities.
On 16th October, Classic Golf and Country Club becomes the stage for the next chapter of The Royal Trial of India.
Six teams. One league. One trophy. The Titans are ready. The rivals are returning. The second half is about to begin.
You don't have to play golf to feel the game.
Individual golfers can book their slot for the Gurugram leg by calling 9958265656.
Gurugram, the battle is coming home.
