When it comes to social media, a lot of our Golfers are a digitally-savvy set. The best and quickest way to interact with their fans, social media has infused itself in the lives of our professional Golfers like never before.
Unlike the star Golfers who shone in dreamy galaxies in times past, today’s Golf icons are instantaneously accessible to everyone. Not just that, they impact our lives profoundly with their hashtags splattered on our Twitter and Instagram feeds.
We bring you an incredible list of the Golfers who are creating a buzz on social channels and making their way into the hearts of their increasingly obsessive fan base.

The Golf legend has conquered the game since turning a pro in 1996. With a following of 6.26 M on Twitter, now he outflanks everyone with his awe-inspiring social media metrics.
Woods, who has 14 major championship wins, with three victories in both the US Open and Open Championship, plus four wins in each of the Masters Tournament and PGA Championship, loves to share everything under the sun on his social channels.

The face of British Golf in recent times, the Northern Irish Professional Golfer took up the game at the age of three. The world woke up to the power of the Golf icon when he won the 2011 US Open followed up with two PGA Championship wins (2012 and 2014) and an Open Championship win in Liverpool in 2014.
Today, he’s creating waves on Twitter with a mind-blowing following of 3.18 M and the numbers are growing. Recently, McIlroy found himself in the middle of a social media storm, when former PGA Championship winner Steve Elkington, notoriously claimed McIlroy looked “bored” playing Golf. He was quick to retort and announced his social media exile for a brief period of time.

Our very own star Golfer Anirban Lahiri, who is phenomenal with the club, is one of the most prolific tweeters. The Golf icon, who cemented his place as one of the brightest pro Golfers, has 9,111 followers on Twitter. His Twitter account mirrors his determination and friendly demeanour, where he talks a lot about his game and engages in light-hearted banter.

American Golfer Rickie Fowler only turned professional in 2009, making his following of 1.56 M on Twitter all the more remarkable. Fowler updates his Twitter page (@RickieFowler) quite regularly, and the content is informative and interesting.
With a plethora of pictures and retweets of related content, Rickie could soon be seeing dominating the social media landscape.
