Pro-golfer Nikita Arjun finished sixth at the Western Skies tournament on the Cactus Tour, a developmental tour based out of Arizona.
The Cactus Tour was created for professional women golfers as a place to play outside of the LPGA and The Symetra Tour.
Nikita posted scores of 75-73-73 (5-over 221) and currently resides in Arizona and is an ex-Bangalorean train under William Eldrenkamp at the Legacy Golf Resort. She has been playing on the Cactus, Symetra and Women’s All-Pro Tour since turning pro in 2018.
Talking about her week and how the game unfolded for her, Nikita said, “I had to mainly focus on my short game which helped this week since the greens didn’t really hold the ball!”
She played her final day score at 1 over 73 and was 11 strokes behind the leader, Julie Ju who played a par at 70-72-68 (6-under 210).
Nikita graduated from Bangalore at Canadian International School and shifted her base to the USA in 2014 where she played her first college season for Spartanburg Methodist College in South Carolina. Thereon, she spent the next three years at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia.
