Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma finished tied 3 at Acciona Open de España at 17 under, along with French golfer Julien Gurrier and Scottish golfer Grant Forrest.

The Indian golfer played a phenomenal four days at the event finishing high up on the leaderboard with eight birdies, a bogey and a double-bogey on the final day making an exemplary mark.
Sharma was one over after six holes but birdied the seventh and eighth to turn in 35 and left himself a tap-in at the tenth, nine feet at the 12th, 13 feet at the 17th and made a fantastic up-and-down at the last in a 66.
Sharma’s performance at the European Tour event has made him climb up 25 positions on his Race to Dubai as he landed on the 55th position for the final play. Starting up his play on Day 1 tied 21st at 4 under, Shubhankar chased up the ladder to T3 at Day 2 and T5 at Day 3 finishing up at a remarkable position.

"I'm very, very happy. I knew it was going to be a really hard battle today and I don't think I need to say that I didn't get off to the ideal start. I've been believing in myself, I've had amazing support all this week rooting for me ever since the first minute and I was just hanging in there, I knew I'd have an opportunity and I'm glad that luck swung my way,” the Spanish golfer added.
