The player who outshined on Day 1 was none other than Khalin Joshi. The Indian golfer seemed to be in a good rhythm today even after all the odds of wind and overcast conditions. To catch the top spot, he scored five-under-par with seven birdies at the 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th, 17th and the 18th hole. His shots throughout the day were on point, and there is nothing that he would be disappointed with. He would be happy with his performance today and would look forward to maintaining the lead throughout the tournament.
Following him on position 2 is Journeyman tour pro William Harrold who upstaged the big-name players in The Singapore International at Tanah Merah Country Club today, taking the clubhouse lead halfway through day one.The Englishman carded a three-under-par 69, that reached 35km per hour, on the demanding Tampines Course to sit ahead of India’s Ajeetesh Sandhu and American Paul Peterson, who carded 70s.
