Zion Hills Golf County prepares to host the opening chapter of GRPL Season 1.

 

Nearly two centuries ago, warriors rode through the lands of Kolar for supremacy.

 

Now, history returns.

 

But this time, not with swords.

 

With drivers, fairways, city pride, and one crore on the line.

 

India is about to witness the launch of something the country’s amateur golf circuit has never seen before. Golf Rendezvous Pro-Am League (GRPL), India’s first structured city-based franchise golf league, officially begins with the Kolar Leg at Zion Hills Golf County on 29th and 30th May 2026.

 

What started as an idea just three months ago has rapidly evolved into one of the most ambitious concepts in Indian golf, blending professionals, amateurs, juniors, ladies, veterans, entrepreneurs, celebrities, and luxury experiences into one high-energy sporting ecosystem.

 

And perhaps the most fascinating part?

Some franchise owners are not even golfers.

 

Because GRPL is becoming bigger than golf itself.

 

Representing six cities, the franchises entering the battlefield include:

 

• Hyperstar Developers Delhi Royals led by Jahanvi Bakshi
• Carnelian Kolar Zioneers captained by Arindam Chatterjee

The opening leg promises intense city rivalries as teams battle for early dominance in GRPL Season 1 and a chance to establish themselves as India’s new golfing powerhouse.

Where Golf Meets Entertainment

 

Hosted at one of India’s most breathtaking golf landscapes, the Kolar Leg will begin with official practice rounds and team activities on 29th May, followed by the main tournament round on 30th May.

 

But GRPL is not positioning itself as just another golf tournament.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will witness championship golf, elite networking, luxury hospitality, creators, influencers, entrepreneurs, and sporting culture all coming together on one stage.
