Women’s Open D2: Aditi Ashok made the Cut, Tied 58

Aditi Ashok made the cut for the weekend at AIG Women’s British Open tied 58 at 1 over by the end of Round 2.

By closing Round 2 on Friday, Aditi Ashok went 1 over par with three bogeys and a birdie tied 58th with Sweden’s Kelsey Macdonald, Denmark’s Emily Kristine Pedersen, South Korea’s HaejI Kang and Inbee Park, Austria’s Christine Wolf, the USA’s Angel Yin, Jessica Korda and Britanny Altomare. 

 

With a phenomenal day at Carnoustie Golf Links, the Indian golfer stays in the game for the weekend competing for the British Open trophy willing to significantly leave a mark at the historical course of Angus.

The leader, American golfer Mina Harigae and English golfer Georgia Hall played 7 under with a phenomenal round close at 67 for Day 2 with Harigae with seven birdies and two bogeys while Hall closed with six birdies and two bogeys.

Other significant golfers, namely, American golfer and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda tied 12 on the leaderboard while the USA’s Lizette Salas and South Korea’s Kim Sei-Young tied 3 on the leaderboard, one stroke behind the leader. 

 

The players eagerly await for Round 3, as the growing anticipation of who'd lift the British Open trophy grows in sevenfolds.
