You have to give it to the gutsy Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand for his poise and confidence. Not many know that Kiradech got his first mean machine (car) for $150k when he only had $15k in the bank. He had the firm belief that he would make enough money on tour in the three months following to pay it off, and he did. Now, that’s incredible!
Kiradech, who recently finished T-17th at the Memorial tournament, has eight other cars at his home in Bangkok. There’s the Ferrari F430 and the Porsche Cayenne, Porsche Boxster and Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS. Aphibarnrat also owns a Nissan GTR, Toyota Supra, Honda EK9 and Lamborghini Aventador. Cars, motorcycles, boats, even jet skis, anything that goes fast gives a high to his soul.
If you thought, it’s just exotic cars that give him a tick, you are probably off the radar. A pair of sneakers gives an all-time high to the Thai Golfer. He also has about 40 high-end watches and upwards of 100 pairs of shoes, many of them Yeezys, the popular collaboration between Adidas and Kanye West.
Aphibarnrat is particularly drawn to limited edition shoes and says his most expensive pair cost about $15,000. But his favorite pair is the Yeezy Pirate Black, PBs first version, which he wore at the Olympics and at Augusta National last year.
The first PGA Tour member from Thailand’s passion for Golf kicked off since he was a kid. Kiradech’s father used to take him golfing while he was supposed to be at school. There were even times where he could pass his homework off to someone else, just as long as he was playing his pet game.
Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat became only the second player from Thailand, after Thongchai Jaidee, to record multiple European Tour wins.
