Amidst controversies of US President Donald Trump cheating, this news comes as a whiff of fresh air. John Daly wants it to be known that Donald Trump does NOT cheat when he plays golf, but former US President Bill Clinton definitely does, according to his interview with TMZ.
Daly played a round of golf with current US President Trump earlier this week, a moment the two-time major champion described on social media as "one of the greatest days of my life."
The man nicknamed the 'Wild Thing' told TMZ that he and Trump won their match 3 up, and quickly cleared up any cheating allegations that have typically gone hand in hand where recent reports of Trump on a golf course are concerned. "It’s just amazing that people call him a cheat in golf," said Daly.
"If you want to call a cheat in golf, I’ll tell you, Bill Clinton, he took a mulligan on putts, chips, when I played with him. "I don’t think Bill Clinton could of broke 100. At least the President, Mr. Trump, he can shoot 80. Seventy-eight to 84, probably."
Daly also had plenty of praise for Trump's golf game, albeit raised his handicap to a high single - a far cry from the low singles that Trump made everyone believe he played off. We all know that guy who "played off scratch once."
"He can hit it," said Daly.
