41-year-old Spaniard who has achieved a wire to wire victory, year’s back in the ‘Dubai Desert Classic 2017’ is once again set to mark the golf links of the ‘Emirates Golf Club’ with his undying vigor.
Last year Garcia had to withdraw from the renowned ‘Masters Tournament 2020’ due to being tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Under such unprecedented circumstances, he had to compensate for his game at the ‘Masters 2020’. Back then he was greatly cast down due to his inability to mark the game with his formidable performance.
Sergio Garcia at 'Emirates Golf Club'
Garcia had tweeted, “After 21 years of not missing a major championship, I will sadly miss the Masters this week, the important thing is that my family and I are feeling good. We'll come back stronger and give the green jacket a go next April.”
The most awaited ongoing European tour event, ‘Omega Dubai Desert Classic 2021’ at the Sprawling green fields of the Emirates Golf Club is remarked by the sporty zeal of a plethora of enthusiastic players. Sergio Garcia, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry, Henrik Stenson are some of the top players making ball-striking shots on the green fairway of the Emirates Golf Club.
After a quick recovery from Covid-19, Garcia got back on the grounds with the same enthusiasm that he had shown back in 2017 during the ‘Dubai Desert Classic’.
An opening bogey-free round of 66 reflected his love affair with the green links of the Emirates club. Therefore, his comeback on the grounds shows his ardent love for the game. After going through the ups and downs, the former winner has been showing an imperious performance during this ongoing 4-day tournament.

“I felt like I hit a lot of good shots. Conditions obviously were good, but they were tricky.
“The greens are a little patchy when it comes down to firmness. Some spots are really firm and in some spots you can definitely spin it. But other than that, I felt like it was a good, solid day, and very happy with the way it went.” Said the 41-year-old Spaniard who lifted the title of the championship at the Emirates Golf Club.
So far Garcia has been amongst the top players in this 4-day ‘Omega Dubai Desert Classic’. Thus, with his undying zeal for the game will he be able to repeat history once again by lifting the title at the ‘Emirates Golf Club’?
