Ajeetesh Sandhu of Chandigarh recorded his maiden professional triumph at the INR 1 crore event after he edged out seasoned campaigner Jyoti Randhawa in a playoff at the latter’s home course, the DLF Golf & Country Club. The two golfers finished with identical totals of -6 before heading for the playoff.
Delhi’s Shamim Khan pulled off a dramatic playoff win against fellow Delhi professional Rashid Khan at the INR 1 Crore event. The match was decided on the second playoff hole after both Shamim and Rashid ended the regulation 72 holes with identical totals of -14 at their home course, the Delhi Golf Club.
Harendra Gupta of Chandigarh got the better of Delhi’s Rashid Khan in a playoff to win the INR 1 Crore event at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club on Saturday.Gupta and Khan had ended the regulation 72 holes with matching totals of -13 before they headed for the playoff.
Gaganjeet Bhullar (IND) emerged the champion at the Aircel PGTI Players Championship hosted by Chandigarh Golf Club after he posted a total of -11 to bag his fourth title of the year. Local favourite Jeev Milkha Singh finished in 5th place, 3 shots behind Bhullar.
Gaganjeet Bhullar has been in scintillating form as he made it three titles from three starts in 2011 after a comfortable 2-stroke victory at Kolkata. He scored a tournament total of -13. S.S.P. Chowrasia finished 2nd at -11.
