Nestled in the heart of the city on Mount Road, Chennai’s most popular and prestigious golf course is a stunning Peter Thomson redesign at 6599 yards. The Course was opened on 15th January 1938 by the then Governor General of India, the Honorable Victor Alexander Hope, 2nd Marquess of Linlithgow. This course is a but don't let the relatively short distance fool you because it more than makes up with design, bunkering and tree placement. For one to have a good round here they must navigate the abundance of OB, tight tee shots and hazards which line the course make it a beast. The heavy thicket and forest take you away from the very bustling city center that the club is located in and one almost forgets the Adyar river just south of the golf course.
