Course Description

Bangalore Golf Club (BGC) is an 18-hole, par-70 golf course located on Sankey Road in High Grounds, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Established in 1876 by a group of British aristocrats, it is recognised as one of the oldest golf clubs outside the British Isles. Originally developed as a 12-hole course, the layout was redesigned in 2002 into an 18-hole golfing facility spread across approximately 60 acres. The course features undulating terrain, mature trees, two water bodies and strategically positioned bunkers that demand accurate drives and a strong short game. Its relatively compact layout, measuring approximately 6,118 yards from the Blue tees, offers a challenging golfing experience in the heart of the city. Bangalore Golf Club combines its historic golfing heritage with modern facilities, including a floodlit driving range, practice greens, bunkers, a Pro Shop and a coaching academy. The club also offers clubhouse amenities, dining spaces and guest accommodation, creating a well-rounded experience for members and visitors. Its central location makes it a notable destination for golfers searching for a golf course in Bengaluru and exploring golf courses in Karnataka. Visitors are accommodated subject to the club's access policies, tee-time availability and handicap requirements.
