The course is located just 10 kilometres from the Royal seaside resort of Hua Hin in Thailand, which is fast becoming the preferred retirement area of Thailand for Thais and expats alike.
It is the result of Swedish entrepreneur Stig Notlöv’s unrelenting golf dream and opened on April 20, 2007. Numerous awards followed rapidly, and just five years after the first rounds were played, Black Mountain became the first course in Thailand to be included in US Golf Digest’s list of the Best 100 Courses Outside the United States.
