Macau, October 24, 2008: PGTI member Anirban Lahiri returned an outstanding six under 65 on Friday to make a huge leap from overnight 24th place to tied second at the Macau Open. Lahiri (68, 65) has a total of nine under 133 and trails the leader, Australia’s David Gleeson by five strokes. Englishman Yasin Ali, Australian Adam Blyth and Chinese Taipei’s Lin Wen-tang share second place along with Anirban Lahiri.
Lahiri’s 65 was punctuated by birdies on the second, fourth, sixth, ninth, 13th, 17th, 18th and bogeys on the 10th and 12th.
Gaganjeet Bhullar (69, 70) finished round two in tied 39th place. His total stood at three under 139. Bhullar’s second round 70 included a birdie on the second and three successive birdies on the seventh, eighth, ninth. Besides he dropped bogeys on the fifth, 11th and 18th.
Rahil Gangjee (67, 73) and Gaurav Ghei (71, 69) are both in tied 46th place at two under 140.
Digvijay Singh (73, 68) is placed tied 58th at one under 141.
Himmat Singh Rai and Arjun Singh are both tied 67th at even par 142.
Chiragh Kumar (143), Gurbaaz Mann (144), Amandeep Johl (148) and Feroz Ali Mollah (150) missed the halfway cut of even par 142.
