"Ball Went Everywhere… Except Where It Should " : Pant’s Golf Debut

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, known for sending cricket balls into orbit, recently traded the pitch for the greens at Prestige Golfshire Club in Bengaluru. And he was as entertaining as ever, confessing after his round: “Ball went everywhere… except where it should. Never knew golf could be this much fun. Next time anyone’s heading out, count me in.”

The Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) loved the energy and quipped back, “Our pros would love to learn your style. Let’s catch up on 11th Oct at KGA, Bengaluru ”. Even PGTI CEO Amandeep Johl welcomed Pant to future Pro-Am events and golf clinics.

Pant, currently vice-captain of India’s Test team, is nursing a fractured toe that he picked up during the England tour in July, where Dhruv Jurel stepped in as his replacement. Now recovering at the NCA, Pant has missed the Ongoing Test series against the West Indies.

But if his golf outing is anything to go by, the southpaw is keeping his spirits high and his swing lively. Cricket may be his first love, but golf might just become his favourite “second innings.”
