The PGA Tour had to make a rare decision after bad weather hit the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday. Strong winds and heavy rain forced officials to cancel the games, with forecasts showing the bad weather continuing until Monday morning.

Due to safety concerns and the storm's impact on the Pebble Beach community, the tournament was shortened to 54 holes. This means players had fewer rounds to compete in. Wyndham Clark ended up winning the event by just one shot over Ludvig Åberg, making it the first time since 2016 that a PGA Tour event was cut short to 54 holes.

According to PGA Tour rules, games can only continue on Monday if there's enough time to finish them by early afternoon. However, because of the storm's severity and the safety risks, officials couldn't resume play.

Clark, who started the third round six shots behind, made an impressive comeback with two eagles and nine birdies. This victory marks his third on the Tour and his first since last year's U.S. Open.

Reflecting on his win, Clark mentioned the challenge of staying focused during the uncertainty of whether the tournament would continue. Despite the disruptions, this year's event is the first time since 2009 that it had to be shortened to 54 holes due to bad weather.
