Lonavala, Maharashtra, 7th March 2009: After a series of regional qualifiers and semi finals, the cream of the golfing fraternity in the country descended on the Aamby Valley Golf Resort, Lonavala for the national finals of the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge 2009. The team from Rahul G Divan & Associates consisting of Rahul Divan(42), Ashish Aggarwal(31), Riaz Batlivala (38) and Yohann Pedder (31) aggregated 111 points and won the right to represent the country in the World Finals against teams from around 25 different countries.

The tournament was the official Indian qualifier for the World Corporate Golf Challenge World Finals, which will be held at La Manga, Spain from June 29th-3rd July 2009.

The four member corporate team tournament was based on the team returning the highest stable ford point total of the four team members over 18 holes. The format of play was individual stable ford off a three-fourth handicap. The top three cards in every team were added up to give the team score.

The finals capped the 2009 edition of the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Challenge in which teams from all over the country battled it out in regional rounds followed by semi finals in each zone to get an entry into the national finals. There were three regional qualifiers – South (23-25th Jan, Eagleton Golf Resort, Bangalore), North (6-8th Feb,) Jaypee Greens Golf Resort) and West (28th Feb-1st March, Amby Valley Golf Resort Lonavala). The top two teams from each region met in the National final at Amby Valley Lonavala on March 7th. Among the corporate teams participating in the finals were – T &T Motors Mercedes-Benz ( Ravi Talwar, Shiv Nath, K.K. Bajoria and Sanjiv Talwar), Fashion Express ( Pratap Mamik, Capt Shakti Dogra, S.P. Singh and Sushil Gupta), Oracle India (S Krishna Kumar, Harish Shetty, Rathan Kumar and B. K. Satish ) and UB Global ( V. Shashikanth , R. G. Venkatesh, David D Souza and Sunil Vasant).
