If reports are to be believed, Kashmir Golf Club will soon be opened for the public. JK Chief Secretary BVR Subramanyam recently announced that Kashmir Golf Club will be accessible to the General Public with a nominal fee of Rs just 100. According to various sources, it was accordingly decided to earmark the Kashmir Golf Club to golfers, tourists and the local youth of Srinagar. 

Is this a step towards making Golf accessible in India or more needs to be done?

    It's certainly a good move. Accessibility to the game is the biggest roadblock to the growth of the game. So this is certainly a positive step towards the development of the game in India.
