Should golf courses switch their focus to pay and play members?

Most of the golf courses across India prefer to cater to member-based golfers rather than the play and play golfers. As a result, golf as a sport is hindered from being promoted in a country like India. In a lot of cases, people are not keen to purchase the membership either due to financial constraints or due to the unprecedented pandemic. After all, why would someone invest in a long-term membership when there are no events or happenings taking place?

Do you also feel that for the promotion and advancement of this sport, more and more golf courses should cater to the play and play golfers as well?

Agree. Golf courses must implement some economical ways to attract and facilitate new talent/budding players/wanna-be-players, which otherwise staying away from this beautiful game.
