Most of the golf courses across India prefer to cater to member-based golfers rather than the play and play golfers. As a result, golf as a sport is hindered from being promoted in a country like India. In a lot of cases, people are not keen to purchase the membership either due to financial constraints or due to the unprecedented pandemic. After all, why would someone invest in a long-term membership when there are no events or happenings taking place?
Agree. Golf courses must implement some economical ways to attract and facilitate new talent/budding players/wanna-be-players, which otherwise staying away from this beautiful game.
