Gaganjeet Bhullar delivered an outstanding performance to secure victory at the BNI Indonesian Masters, claiming his fifth title on Indonesian soil and marking his fourth wire-to-wire win on the Asian Tour. The 35-year-old golfer from Amritsar sealed the win with a remarkable eagle on the par-five 18th at Royale Jakarta Golf Club, finishing at 24-under, five shots ahead of second-placed compatriot Karandeep Kochhar.

New Zealand's Ben Campbell and Spaniard David Puig secured third place, trailing Bhullar by six strokes, with rounds of 65 and 66, respectively. This triumph, Bhullar's 11th career win on the Asian Tour, establishes him as the Indian with the most victories, surpassing Arjun Atwal and Jyoti Randhawa with eight titles each. Notably, this victory is Bhullar's first since the Mandiri Indonesia Open in August of the previous year.

Beginning the day with a comfortable 7-shot lead, Bhullar maintained control despite a couple of errors towards the end of the round. A surprising tee shot into the water on the par-3 15th led to a bogey, cutting his lead to three. However, a remarkable birdie on the challenging par-4 16th restored his advantage. The closing eagle on the 18th, set up by a precise fairway wood shot, secured his victory.

Bhullar expressed his satisfaction, highlighting the mental fortitude required to maintain his lead throughout the tournament. He acknowledged the challenges faced during the round but credited his experience and past successes, including three Indonesian Open wins and one Indonesia President Invitational title.

An added achievement for Bhullar was his climb from 46th to eighth place on The International Series Order of Merit, earning him a spot in the second round of the LIV Golf Promotions event in Abu Dhabi. Only participants ranked second to eighth are fast-tracked, with the top three finishers securing spots in next year's LIV Golf League.

Kochhar, securing his best finish on the Asian Tour, expressed satisfaction with his performance and emphasized the importance of patience and maintaining momentum. The tournament's fifth-place finisher, Korean Kyongjun Moon, fired a final-round 65, finishing seven strokes behind the champion.
