Record Prize Purse of US $400,000 Beckons Golfing Greats to Women's Indian Open

The prominent stars of the Ladies European Tour will make their return in the Hero Women's Indian Open 2023. The tournament boasts a substantial purse of US $400,000 and will witness a collision of proven champions and rising stars at the DLF Golf and Country Club. This event presents a significant opportunity for the talented Indian women golfers, who have become regulars on the Ladies European Tour.

The field consists of 120 players, including four of the top five competitors in the current LET Order of Merit and seven champions from the highly competitive 2023 season. Among these athletes is India's own Diksha Dagar, a two-time LET winner and the current fourth-ranked player in the Order of Merit. Diksha also serves as the Brand Ambassador for Hero MotoCorp.

As the 2023 LET season approaches its conclusion, the Hero Women's Indian Open is set to host one of the most robust fields in its history. The tournament is scheduled to take place from October 19 to 22.

 

The top four players in the LET Order of Merit include Johanna Gustavsson from Sweden, Ana Pelaez Trivino from Spain, India's Diksha Dagar, and Thailand's Trichat Cheenglab.

 

 

The field also features seven winners from the 2023 season, such as Lisa Pettersson from Sweden (Helsingborg Open), Carmen Alonso from Spain (Ladies Open by Pickala Resort), Nuria Iturrioz from Spain (La Sella Open), Smilla Tarning Soenderby from Denmark (KPMG Women's Irish Open), and Trichat Cheenglab from Thailand (Big Green Egg Open). These champions are joined by Sweden's Johanna Gustavsson, who secured victory at the Lacoste Ladies Open de France and currently occupies the second spot in the Order of Merit.
