This is an important topic of discussion. Should future Golf courses in the world be shorter? What do you think?

Yes, longer courses cost more to build and maintain and require more turf and water usage.

Or

Do you think shorter courses will not let Golfers to truly test their abilities? Also, Golf would lose its charm.

With so much technology now everyone is hitting 20-25 yards longer and straighter than they used to so there is no point in giving all the players a wedge or a small club into the green 10-12 holes out of 18. There is a reason why there are 14 clubs allowed in the golf bag

In future, water shortage would definitely act as a deterrent for Golf course architects to develop longer courses. Many Golfers might argue that a nine-hole shorter Golf course might take away the charm of the game. But the idea is to make the game shorter, bringing more youngsters into golf, speed up the game make it more appealing and address increasing environmental issues. And all these can happen when we have a shorter format and short Golf courses.
