Spin the ball a little this time!

Everybody wants to see their ball travel the farthest, they want to see people hit it farther.
But the new rule by the R&A and USGA- Governing bodies in Golf have proposed the Model Local Rule (MLR) centered around manufacturing golf balls. The goal is to "reduce hitting distance by 14-15 yards on average for the longest hitters with the highest clubhead speeds."
Is it reasonable to the game of golf? Will it be an arguable topic over manufacturing balls which would travel and spin a lesser distance?
