dear jaskaran, I work as a referee for professional golf so you can remove all doubts. If a ball at rest is moved by an outside agency it has to replaced (if you know the exact lie) or dropped closest to the approximate spot (if the exact lie is not known).
Dear Deepak, Daman & Randeep, Thanks for the comments. But somehow I am not very convinced with the answers. Why I say this, because during the Indian Open this year I was sitting with a lady pro & when asked the same question to her, she said that its considered as a hole out. Golf is a gentleman's game & is taken that audience will not do such a thing. The tournament & the golf course committee has the right to ask the spectator to leave. With that said, would there be a specific rule index that consists of this scenario & would you be able to let me know the same incase you stumble upon the same. Cheers & Hope the golfing is well. JB
drop a ball right under the spot where it landed in the hand of the spectator and play from there.
Play from a spot as close as possible from where the spectator got up without penalty (moved by outside agency)
