Kelab Golf Desa Dungun is a welcoming state government run. The championship golf course, that is consistantly top ranked in Terengganu and the only club in Terengganu that is registered with Malaysia Golf Association. Like many smaller golf club in Malaysia, the Dungun course was started by expatriates who were mostly iron ore operators from Bukit Besi. The simple layout of the course is with minimal water hazards, outline with 50 years old trees, however the salty sea-breeze has affected the course to some extent, though this has not bothered the golfers.
