Course Description

The RCF golf course at Kapurthala is easily the best Railway course in the country . The railways has about 6 courses across the country & 2 in Punjab ( The other one is in Patiala) . This course is a challenging 18 hole , 6500 yard ,Par 72 layout & is famous because it was here that India’s golf star Gaganjeet Bhullar learnt his golf. The course is located in the campus of the Rail Coach Factory ( RCF) , which was set up in 1986 to build , as the name signifies coaches for the Indian railways . The golf course is an Oasis of green in the RCF complex & is lush & verdant. With water bodies , a mature tree line & adequate bunkering it is a interesting layout to play . The golf course was built in 1989 . The course has a clubhouse , proper driving range & is accessible to civilians & govt employees. 2 of the holes are also floodlit .
