Holder of four major world championships, the Taiheiyo Club - Narita Course has been called "one of the most memorable courses in Japan." Each hole is built using flat marshes and grasslands with exquisite curves between the small bands of natural forest. "There were several sites where the land seemed to be telling me to build a hole there from the beginning. There was almost no need to cut the mountain or move the soil significantly, and I was able to imagine the hole just by standing there and design it. I didn't think such wonderful sites still existed in Japan," said Player. The course features holes surrounded by creeks and 3m-deep wall-like sod layer-style bunkers, so to speak, with unique features that could not be experienced on Japanese courses until now. The clubhouse was designed by Steve Chidester, an architectural designer from Pebble Beach, USA, and was built with a Georgian style (British Georgian style) as its theme, and like the course, it blends in with the deep forest surrounding it.
