April 16th 2013, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: New Zealand’s Michael Campbell, the 2005 US Open Champion, has become a Crest Link Brand Ambassador and will wear Crest Link apparel in all future golf tournaments.
Campbell, who in 2005 also won the richest prize in golf, the £1,000,000 HSBC World Match Play Championship, has enjoyed a welcome return to form having rekindled his partnership with coach Jonathan Yarwood after a three-year break in May last year. Since then, Campbell has enjoyed six top-20 finishes, including third at the Portugal Masters last October.
Crest Link has gained recognition as a top apparel and accessories brand in the region with its involvement in several prominent professional tournaments such as the Maybank Malaysian Open and Barclays Singapore Open.
Campbell joins Australian professional golfer Greg J. Chalmers, winner of the 2011 Emirates Australian Open and the Australian PGA Championship, who has been a Crest Link Brand Ambassador since 2008, Thailand’s Thaworn Wiratchant and many other golfers who don Crest Link apparel in international tournaments.

Campbell, born on 23 February 1969, is a member of the European Tour and when he was young, like many young New Zealand boys, dreamed of playing rugby for the for the All Blacks but his his passion turned to golf.
At age of seven, he began playing golf on the Patea golf course which had the greens fenced to keep sheep off them. He was introduced to the game by his uncle, Roger Rei, but was also undoubtedly influenced by his father, Tom Campbell, who was a single figure handicapper.
From 1988, Campbell represented New Zealand in various international amateur competitions, including the team victory at the 1992 Eisenhower Trophy, before turning professional in 1993.
Campbell finished fourth on the European Tour Order of Merit in 2000 was in the top ten of the Order of Merit in 2002. He won the PGA Tour of Australasia's Order of Merit during the 1999/2000 season.
Campbell won his first major the US Open Championship by two shots at Pinehurst in 2005, carding an even par 280. With his win, he became only the second New Zealander to win a major, after Sir Bob Charles. On 29 October 2005, he was awarded with the Honorary Life Membership of The European Tour.
His participation in the European Tour often brings him to Asia where he is popular among the region’s fans and, having become a Crest Link Brand Ambassador, the support for him and Crest Link is expected to hit new heights.
