The Asia-Pacific Amateur is a milestone every Young Ameuter Golfer desires to achieve in their respective careers. This aspiration is not only of budding golfers but this dream also happens to be shared by their parents too.

Krishnav sets his sights on being the top-ranked Indian golfer in the world.
Former Indian Cricketer and Commentator, Nikhil Chopra gave a miss to his week long cricket duty in Australia T20 World Cup, just to accompany his son Krishnav as a caddie this week at the Amateur event.
“This is a big moment for him. The AAC is easily the best-known amateur event in Asia with a massive incentive for those winning it. Imagine playing for a spot in the Augusta Masters and The open”, said Chopra.
“So when Krishnav got an invite for this tournament (based on his World Amateur Golf Ranking) I knew where I was going to be that week”.
Before his arrival to Bangkok, Nikhil fulfilled his responsibility as a commentator for a match in Australia. After his son’s event on Sunday, Chopra will return to Australia at the end of this week.
Krishnav is one of the seven Indians in the tournament that are ready to wave the victory flag at the Augusta Masters and the Open. The other Indians are Shat Mishra, Shaurya Bhattacharya, Arjun Gupta, Milind Soni, Aryan Roopa Anand ,and Rayhan Thomas.
Krishnav is ecstatic to have his father as a caddie. The young amaetuer golfer considers his father as his idol.
He said, “He is here with me right now. He is going to be caddying for me for the rest of the week”.The pastime of the Father-Son duo is playing and hanging around the golf course.
“I mean it’s a two way thing. He is going to be carrying the bag, and he is going to help me with the yardages and lines and just keep the normal banter we always have”.
“It's been a good summer and I’ve been working hard with my coach Dana Dalquist, in L.A. at Long Beach and in the gym.”
Once Krishnav achieves some major landmarks in his Golfing career, which he has just started, Krishnav would be glad to be a Golf commentator.
