It was an event that Rory McIlroy always watched on the television but never participated. And when the winner of the Players Championship made his debut at the Canadian Open, it was a great experience for him.  Rory, who was tied 25th at the end of Round 1, made five birdies and two bogeys to shoot three under par overall. He’s currently T-25.
