The player who outperformed others on Day 1 was Yvie Chaucheprat. The French golfer seemed to be in a good rhythm today. To catch the top spot, she scored four-under-par with four birdies at the 1st, 2nd, 5th and the 14th hole. Her shots throughout the day were on point, and there is nothing that she would be disappointed with. Amandeep Drall after completing a shot in a golf tournament
For India, Golfer Amandeep Drall, while playing at the North Course at the La Manga Club, scored a brilliant 71. She finished at par with three birdies at the 7th, 9th and 11th hole. But, one single-bogey and a double-bogey at the 10th and the 14th hole would have been disappointing for her. Although, it hasn’t been too late for Amandeep and she can still take a handsome lead going forward.
Up next, Second best performer for India today is Gaurika Bishnoi. The latter finished at T44 with a score of three-above-par. After a staggering performance from Gaurika in the pre-qualifiers, the hopes are high with her. On day 2, She would definitely try to score some handsome birdies to climb up the table.
Jahanvi Bakshi on the other hand, managed to score five-above-par. She also played magnificently in the pre-qualifiers but today she seemed to be struggling. She scored 6 single-bogeys in round 1, finishing at T81.
Mim Sangkapong after hitting a shot in a golf match
However, Mim Sangkapong from Thailand finished at T44 with Gaurika Bishnoi. A score of three-above-par for her, included two birdies at the 4th and the 8th hole. But, three single-bogeys and one double-bogey made her slip down the table. Though Mim hasn’t done a poor job, she would be keen to avoid these bogeys in the further rounds. She is the only Thai golfer in the lot. Hence, the expectations are high from her.
