The Second round for the Ladies European Tour pre-qualifiers got over. And, there is some exciting news from Spain where the tournament is going forward. The bunch of players participating in the tournament are playing their A-game, which is a treat for spectators of the sport.
Finishing on the top again, Lisa Pettersson from Sweden scored 70 playing at the South course at the La Manga club. This included three birdies from the first five opening holes. Perfect start, isn’t it? The Swedish golfer has consistently performed well, and retained the top spot again in Round 2.
“The wind wasn’t as strong today as it was yesterday, so it definitely played a little easier than for those that played the South Course yesterday,” said Pettersson.
For India, the top performer was none other than Jahanvi Bakshi again on the day 2. The young woman climbed up the score table rapidly after scoring 70 in round 2. She finished at T21. The latter, in the first round , finished at T32 after scoring 75 in round 1. She would be proud of the way she played and scored four birdies at the 10th, 13th, 14th and the 15th hole.
Another Indian golfer, Sharmila Nicolett played a fair game, scoring 75 at the round 2. She managed to finish at T39 after hitting some pleasant birdies at the 3rd and the 12th hole.
Gaurika Bishnoi would be the third top performer for India in round 2. She also finished at T39 with a score of 73. Some birdies at the 6th, 11th, 15th and the 17th hole helped her boost her score in round 2.
Thai Golfer Mim Sangkapong, in Round 2 scored 74 again at the North Course. After a steady start with a birdie at the 2nd hole, she played fairly well. But, three double-bogeys at the 3rd, 5th and 10th hole is what she might be disappointed with.
