In response to TaylorMade's recent trademark applications for a brand called "Sunday Red," social media has been buzzing with reactions to the reported unveiling of the company's new tiger logo. NUCLR Golf shared details on TaylorMade's trademark filings for Lifestyle Ventures, allegedly inspired by Tiger Woods' iconic Sunday red attire. The new logo, revealed in a post on NUCLR Golf's X (formerly Twitter) account, depicts a tiger outlined in black on a red and white background.
According to the reports, TaylorMade is set to launch Lifestyle Ventures LLC, drawing inspiration from Tiger Woods' renowned tradition of wearing red polos during the final rounds of golf tournaments, especially on Sundays. Fans expressed their thoughts online, with some expressing disappointment in the new logo design.
Tiger Woods, famous for sporting red attire on Sundays throughout his illustrious career, recently parted ways with Nike, leaving fans speculating whether he will continue the tradition with TaylorMade. The viral Sunday red trademark application by TaylorMade has fueled speculation that the golf equipment company may also sponsor Woods' iconic Sunday red ensemble.
As the rumors swirl, neither Tiger Woods nor TaylorMade has addressed the ongoing speculation. Woods is slated to participate in the upcoming Genesis Invitational Open, a PGA Tour event that he hosts, next month. All eyes will be on his Sunday attire and the associated brand if he competes in the professional tournament the following month. The 2024 Genesis Invitational is scheduled to be held at the Riviera Country Club in California from February 15–18, featuring a $20 million purse.
