The bars of excitement continue to grow high from the Tampines course. The score table on Day 2 went unstable today as few of the players climbed up while few slipped down the table. The spectators were able to witness a lot of birdies and eagles today at the Tanah Merah Country Club course as the golfers were swinging their clubs and hitting marvelous shots throughout the round.

Khalin Joshi closed Round 2 at the ‘The Singapore International’ standing second in position at two over par. With three birdies in his bag on 8th, 9th and 18th holes and five single bogeys for the second consecutive day, he makes it happen to be a flabbergasting delight to spectate but quite struggling and disappointing than day 1 for him at the Tanah Merah Country Club. His total on the 72 par course for two days is 141 with 67-74.
“My putting wasn’t good today. It wasn’t a good day on the greens for me. I struggled with the putter but overall, I am happy with the way I’m playing. Obviously, it was tough out there. It’s not going to be easy. The winds were up. I felt like I should have capitalised more earlier in the day because it wasn’t as windy as now. But overall, I’m in a good position and just looking forward to the next two days.” Joshi said.
Rattanon Wannasrichan on 1st position on Round 2 (Pic Credit: Asian tour)
On another difficult day in strong winds on an exacting Tampines Course, Rattanon took some of the attention away from headline grabbing Ratchanon with his brilliant finish.Thailand’s Rattanon Wannasrichan sensationally eagled the 626-yard par-five 18th to take the clubhouse lead of the second round at The Singapore International today. The 26 year old fired a six-under-par 66 for a two-shot lead, on five under, over Ratchanon Chantananuwat.
On the other hand, Indian golfer Ajeetesh Sandhu tied 7th on the second day with a score of three over par. He managed to score only 2 birdies at 9th and 15th holes and went down by four positions than round 1. Chikkarangappa S. finished at T7 with a score of two under par alongwith Ajeetesh .
Shubhankar Sharma tied 20th on Round 2
Shubhankar Sharma ended day 2 at T20 with a score of three over par with only one birdie coming his way at the last hole. The latter scored two single bogey and one double bogey due to which he would be a bit disappointed. Viraj Madappa, Shiv Kapur, Rashid Khan and Abhijit Chadha successfully made the cut on round 2.
Though the Indian players performed exceptionally well, but there were seven golfers which included M. Dharma, Karandeep Kochhar, Sunit Chowrasia, Udayan Mane, Veer Ahlawat, Jeev Milka Singh and Jyoti Randhawa who were unable to make a cut on day 2 of ‘The Singapore International’.
