Miaoli, Chinese Taipei: India’s Shiv Kapur produced two-under-par 70, while Chikkarangappa S made a par 72 in testing conditions in the second round of the Yeangder Heritage on Friday. Kapur (70), Chiragh (68) and Chikkarangappa (72) were all tied for eighth at three-under 141 and three shots behind the leading trio of Korean Yikeun Chang (72-66) and the Thai duo of Natipong Srithong (71-67) and Danthai Boonma (69-69).
Shiv Kapur from India
"Given the conditions it was pretty good. I think I played a little better then what my score would suggest. I left a couple of shots out there which is a bit disappointing. Tee to green I was solid and I gave myself some chances. It was tough. Yesterday was really cold and I felt like I was in Europe again. Maybe it worked to my advantage. I’ve got the weekend coming up and I look forward to it." said Kapur.
Natipong and Danthai, who both won their first Asian Tour titles in 2015, carded a 67 and 69 respectively to tie with Chang on six-under-par 138 at the US$300,000 Asian Tour event.
Meanwhile, four other Indians made the halfway cut and none were more prominent than Himmat Rai, who overcame his first round 76 with a 67 and Sujjan Singh, who rebounded from a 79 with a 68 in second.
Himmat at one-under was tied-18th, while Khalin Joshi (74) and Rahil Gangjee (71) were tied-45th and Sujjan was tied-65 on the cut line.

Shubhankar Sharma (76-73), Rashid Khan (75-76), Arjun Prasad (79-72) and Honey Baisoya (82-72) missed the cut.
Miguel Tabuena of the Philippines was a further shot back following a 70 while Jazz Janewattananond of Thailand, Himmat Rai of India and Rory Hie of Indonesia totalled 143s at the National Golf Country Club.
It was a mixed round for Kapur, who is searching for a second Asian Tour victory, as he traded five birdies against three bogeys to safely make the weekend rounds after missing the cut in his last three events.
With a new putter in the bag, Natipong turned in 33 before adding birdies on holes 16 and 17 to soar up the leaderboard alongside his roommate and close friend Danthai, who produced a second successive 69.
