CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, December 2024:
In an effort to establish Chiang Mai as a leading destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and golf tourism, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with 4moles.com, managed an exclusive Networking Soiree for Indian golfers. This carefully curated FAM (Familiarization) trip brought together avid golfers to experience the unparalleled charm and golfing excellence of Chiang Mai.

Throughout the trip, participants were treated to luxurious stays at two of Chiang Mai's finest five-star hotels: Two nights at the InterContinental Chiang Mai and two nights at the Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel. Both hotels offered world-class amenities, ensuring a comfortable and lavish experience for all attendees.
The event featured participation from prominent golfers including Atul Bansal, Rohit Lamba, Sachin Mehta, Vilas Karni Singh, Kartik Mohindra, Shubodip Pal, Dinesh Chandra Thakur, Aso Lori, Nattachit Oonsiam, and Mr. Shantanu.
Over the five-day itinerary (17th – 22nd December 2024), participants experienced rounds of golf at Chiang Mai’s premier courses:
In addition to the exceptional golfing experience, the trip included cultural excursions to Wat Phra Singh Temple and the Borsang Umbrella Village, as well as luxurious networking opportunities over cocktails at Hong’s Skybar and a traditional Khantoke Dinner. Participants also enjoyed a thrilling excursion to the Chiang Mai Night Safari, experiencing the region's unique wildlife in an enchanting nighttime setting.
Mr. Dinesh Chandra Thakur, Founder & CEO of 4moles.com, commented, "This MICE Golf Holiday showcased Chiang Mai’s potential as a unique blend of world-class golf courses and cultural richness, making it a perfect destination for Indian golfers and MICE travelers alike. By managing the first-ever MICE golf holiday, we have not only broken new ground in tourism but also demonstrated how golf can be a key driver for global business and leisure engagements."
This initiative by TAT reflects Thailand’s dedication to expanding its appeal as a global hub for golf tourism and MICE activities. By combining high-quality golf facilities with immersive local experiences, Chiang Mai is poised to become a sought-after destination for Indian travelers.
