India's Aditi Ashok, who has enjoyed  an astonishing rise as a golf professional, has once again proved her mettle. 

The 19-year-old golfer created ripples as she finished tied-8th at the Marathon Classic at Sylvania, Ohio, marking her first top ten finish on the LPGA tour.

At the end of round three, Aditi was T-3 and just one shots off the top. However, she could only manage an even par 71 in the final round saw her miss out on a top five finish. 

Kim, who won the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by ACER in June, came into this week’s Marathon Classic presented by Owens Corning and O-I having missed her last two cuts.

But, as is the case with golf’s unpredictability, she fired an 8-under-par 63 (the best round of the day and tied for low round of the tournament) Sunday, and Kim put the finishing touches on a four-shot victory. 
 

In-Kyung Kim, who was two strokes behind 18-year-old Nelly Korda entering the round, birdied six of the first nine holes and finished with an 8-under 63 for a four-stroke victory over Lexi Thompson.
