Anirban Lahiri finished second at Indonesian Masters 2022

Jakarta’s jewel in the city, the Royale Jakarta Golf Club where The Indonesian Masters 2022 took place. This U.S. $1.5 million tournament was won by Thailand’s Sarit Suwannarut who had a momentous win at the event on 4th December 2022. This was his first Asian Tour Title where he claimed four-under-par 68 winning $270,000.

Indian Anirbaan Lahiri finished in second place after carding a 66. Lahiri had a fantastic start with five birdies and a superb eagle at 9th , finishing the round with 34. The back nine for the second round was better than the front nine of the same round. He took $165,000 as the purse amount in the Indonesian Masters. 


He said: “It was a really good week. I think I finally got into some rhythm you know, just coming off not playing much golf. I think I was surprised on Thursday that I played the way I did. And then the next two rounds were more like what I was expecting, but I think as I played more and more I started getting into a good rhythm.
“Just a few kinks in my game, I worked on my putting yesterday after the delay. I was really happy with the way I started swinging it, much better, more like what I like to see from my game.”

Anirban hit all the greens in regulation in his final round in consideration of the front nine , as he only missed two in the back nine of round 4. Till date Anirban Lahiri has a total 7 tournament winnings in his account.  


Famous Gaganjit Bhullar had a solo finish of 5th position at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club finishing 69, 70, 70, 66  and taking $61,500 as his winning amount. In the final round he hit 6 birdies making a final score of 66 in this round. He also had one eagle in the second round on 8th. Till date he has a total of 10 tournament wins.

Another Indian who made it to top 10 was Veer Ahlawat, who hit one-over 73 and tied at 10th position along with Scott Vincent, Eunshin Park, Scott Hend, and Thailand’s Tirawat Kaewsiribandit. 
Chinese-Taipei’s Chan Shih-chang and Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell, both had 69 to tie for third, five behind the winner. Chan was quite okay with his final Asian Tour event of the year which he won twice this season.
