At the beginning of the Tournament, Lahiri was at Tied 4. He shared this position with Kramer Hickok (America), Joaquin Nieman (Chile), Keith Mitchell (America), and Daniel Berger (America). On Sunday, he rose to a tied 3 position. Before the game paused because of heavy rain, Lahiri leads THE PLAYERS Championship on Sunday.
On Monday, as the game began, Cameron leads the game, and Lahiri shifted to the second position.
A successful week, indeed, for the 322nd-ranked player in the world, but Lahiri also knows how close he was to a life-changing victory.
“I want to win. I’ve been here seven years. Haven’t gotten over the line yet. That’s definitely a monkey I want to get off my back,” he said. “Today was as good an opportunity as any.”
