A golfer with a Midas touch! That's how one would describe Thailand’s rising amateur golfer Atthaya Thitikul. The Golfer has created history by clinching her first ever Gold medal at the SEA Games held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The tournament had seen a Atthaya spectacle in every round of the final match.

The 14-year-old Golfer, who has the capability to remain impossibly composed on the course, became the youngest golfing champion in the women's individual event in the 29th edition of the Games at the Mines Resort Golf Club in Seri Kembangan.
Atthaya, 14, has been the favourite for the gold medal ever since she made history by becoming the youngest to win a professional golf event in the LET Thailand Championships in Chonbri in July.
“I played my best round this week. I putted well and hit some good approach shots. I’m so honoured to win this gold for Thailand,” said Athaya.
This is the second major feat of the 14-year-old after emerging as the youngest player to win the Thailand Ladies Championship, which is part of the European Tour, in Pattaya in July. She was given a wildcard to participate in the championship.
Making her SEA Games debut here, Atthaya fired six birdies and an eagle for eight under 63 in the final round for 14 under 199 overall to clinch the gold. She was well ahead of compatriot and silver medallist Thitapa Pakdeesettakul, who was seven strokes behind.
