Diksha delivered a commendable performance at the Allerum Golf Club, shooting an even par 72 and finishing at 5-under 211 to secure a tied eighth place in the tournament. Starting the day in tied sixth position and briefly holding the second spot, Diksha began her round with a well-executed birdie. However, she encountered some challenges along the way, dropping shots on the third, fourth, and 11th holes, which resulted in a temporary setback as she fell to 2-over par. Undeterred, Diksha showcased resilience and skill, bouncing back with birdies on the 14th and 18th holes, ultimately concluding the round at an even par.
Meanwhile, it was Sweden's Lisa Pettersson who stole the spotlight with an outstanding finish. Pettersson, initially tied for third place overnight, displayed a remarkable performance on the final day. Despite a bogey on the 10th hole, she remained focused and determined. Pettersson's fortunes took a turn for the better as she registered crucial birdies on the 12th, 15th, and 16th holes, placing her in contention for the title. In an exceptional display of skill and composure, she sealed her round with an eagle on the 18th hole, setting an impressive clubhouse target at 11-under par.
With her exceptional play, Pettersson soared to the top of the leaderboard with a round of 5-under 67 and a total score of 11-under. Meanwhile, Spaniard Ana Pelaez Trivino, who had been performing consistently throughout the tournament, secured second place with a solid round of 69, finishing just one stroke behind Pettersson at 10-under.
In terms of other Indian participants, Vani Kapoor, who had been tied for 16th place after the second round, encountered some challenges and slipped down the leaderboard to a tied 31st position after carding a round of 74. Similarly, Tvesa Malik, initially tied for 55th, concluded her tournament in a tied 68th place after a final round of 78. Unfortunately, Amandeep Drall and Seher Atwal did not make the cut and were unable to continue competing in the tournament.
Diksha's commendable performance in the Allerum Golf Club event is expected to significantly impact her position in the Race to Costa Del Sol, which represents the Order of Merit. Her strong showing will likely elevate her into the Top-40, marking a significant achievement in her professional golfing career.
Overall, the tournament showcased a mix of impressive performances, unexpected turns, and remarkable displays of skill, making it an exciting event for both players and spectators alike.
