At the Women's PGA Championship at Baltusrol in Springfield, New Jersey, Lee-Anne Pace of South Africa shot a two-putt birdie on the last hole in dwindling light to finish at 5-under 66 and take the early lead.

Lee-Anne Pace
In 2014 in China, the 42-year-old Pace claimed her lone LPGA Tour victory. She is participating in her second competition in the US this year.
After starting her round with seven pars, Pace concluded with five birdies over her final 11 holes, including a two-putt on the par-5 18th. Pace teed off at 2:28 p.m. From the bunker on the par-3 16th, she also pulled off a crucial par save.

Aditi Ashok
Aditi Ashok, an Indian golfer, is competing in her 24th major competition, which is a record for an Indian golfer. She shared 61st place with players like Maria Fassi of Italy, Karis Davidson of Australia, Soo Bin Joo of South Korea, and many others with a score of 74 (3 over par) behind 8 shots from the leader Lee- Anne Pace.

Brooke M. Henderson
The 156-player field posted 16 rounds under par on Baltusrol's historic Lower Course, led by two-time major champion Brooke Henderson of Smiths Falls, Ontario, Ruoning Yin, and Xiyi Lin of China.
Henderson shot a bogey and five birdies, her final one coming on the ninth hole from a distance of roughly 35 feet.

Rose Zhang
In her professional debut this month at neighboring Liberty National, Rose Zhang, the two-time NCAA individual champion at Stanford, shot a 70 to start the round. She broke the previous record of 72 years.
Zhang, 20, had bogeys on the second and fourth holes, but then played steadily and scored three birdies the rest of the way, settling for a birdie on the 18th after missing an 8-foot eagle chance.
Zhang smiled after the round and remarked, "I'm not disheartened with that try. It was a great birdie”.
