Talor Gooch was in too good of form to be fazed by anything in the RSM Classic on Sunday, and it paid off when he finished with a 6-under 64 for a three-shot victory at Sea Island.
He was in a game with two individuals who had previously won. A former Sea Island champion challenged him early on. Another player toying with 59 created a buzz in the midst of the round.
Gooch started the back nine with three birdies in four holes and never let anyone get close, capping a strong fall with the final prize. With the win, he climbed to the top of the FedEx Cup standings, to No. 33 in the world, and to Augusta National for the Masters in April.
"To finish the fall season off like I just did, it's a dream come true," Gooch said.
On the other hand, Thai player Kiradech Aphnibarnsat tied on 70th position with Piercy Scott of USA by scoring 73 , +3 at par in which he hit a double bogey at round 1, single bogeys at rounds 7,9 and 14 and two birdies at rounds 11 and 15.
Anirban Lahiri, an Indian player, missed the cut on round 2 by scoring 73, +3 at par , in which hit 2 birdies at rounds 7 and 8, bogey at rounds 12, 14 and 17 also a double bogey at round 13. He was the only player representing India in the tournament .
