Thailand’s Kiradech and Prom finish T-14 at ISPS Handa Melbourne World Cup of Golf

Kirdadech said, “I was hitting good shot on that two par 5, but to be honest, Prom got a good lie as well and he got on the fourth hole, which is a par 5. I mean, the team match and especially the alternate shot you have to be like very solid day, which is both of us playing quite good golf today. I expect myself to hit closer than this. I can say all week I didn't play good golf. I wasn't comfortable with the swing, I'm not striking ball well. I can't hit inside 15 feet, which is difficult to let him make the putt, but that two par 5 is amazing.”
Prom said, “Yeah, we just go out and try to make some birdies. We had a good quick comeback, birdie, birdie and eagle. So after first two birdie on second hole and third hole, birdie, birdie and make us back to even. And the next hole is par 5 and Kiradech hit a good second shot and we get a bit lucky as well, good bounce back in and like inside 12 feet. Yeah, it's a good bounce back after making double first hole.

Belgium’s Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry added a four-under par 68 in the final round to win by three shots at the Metropolitan Golf Club here. Hosts Australia produced a storming finish of seven-under par 65 to climb to tied second place alongside Mexico (66) at 20-under par.
The previous best result of Belgium was a tied fourth place way back in 1955, and Pieters and Detry ensured that was obliterated with a fine round that included an eagle and six birdies to mitigate the four bogeys.
